PSHE Intent

At Rosewood Primary, we believe in providing a comprehensive Personal, Social, Health, and Economic (PSHE) education that equips our pupils with the knowledge, skills, and values to lead fulfilled and purposeful lives. Our intent is to deliver a PSHE curriculum that is relevant, engaging, and inclusive, ensuring that every pupil receives a holistic education that prepares them for the challenges of the modern world. We aim to foster positive relationships, develop social skills, promote emotional well-being, and instill in our pupils a strong sense of social responsibility.

What does PSHE look like at Rosewood?

To achieve our intent, we implement the following strategies and best practices within our PSHE curriculum:

Broad and Balanced Curriculum:

Our PSHE curriculum is designed to cover a wide range of topics and themes, including relationships and sex education (RSE), physical and mental health, emotional well-being, financial literacy, online safety, and British values. We take into consideration the specific needs of our pupils, ensuring that the curriculum reflects their cultural, religious, and social backgrounds.

Clear Program of Study:

We have a well-structured and progressive program of study in PSHE, which ensures that skills and knowledge are built upon year by year. Our curriculum is aligned with the national guidelines and is regularly reviewed to incorporate the most up-to-date information on relevant topics.

Quality Teaching and Learning:

Our highly skilled and knowledgeable teachers deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to the different learning styles and abilities of our pupils. We use a variety of teaching methods, including role-playing, group discussions, case studies, and real-life

Jigsaw

We solve 6 jigsaw puzzles each year at Rosewood Primary School.

This half term the jigsaw puzzle we will be looking at is Relationships.
