Rosewood Primary School

Believe, Enjoy, Succeed Together – B.E.S.T

Who's Who

N. Ditchburn-Hughes is our Headteacer.

My name is Mrs Ditchburn Hughes and I am lucky enough to be the head teacher here at Rosewood Primary School. I grew up in North Wales and have taught in lots of different schools in London, Rochdale, Bradford and Lancashire. My favourite things to do are walking my dog, Charlie, a very scruffy cockerpoo with my family, I am also a big fan of karaoke!

My least favourite things are people who are not kind and don't treat others the way they wish to be treated themselves. I am so proud of our school, and enjoy coming to work every day, I particularly like it when the children come and show me all the wonderful work they have been doing in their lessons.

A. Lawrence is our Assistant Headteacher and SEND officer:-

I like reading when I get the chance. There is nothing nicer than a lovely cup of tea and a good book. I even like reading children’s books as they have some amazing plots. I especially like Phillip Pullman’s ‘Dark Materials Trilogy’, and loved ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’ – the photographs in these books are real and from when Queen Victoria was on the throne. Amazing!!! You should look at them!

Something that I don't like is big dogs running around parks and similar places off their leads – I just don't know what they will do next which I find a bit scary!!! Another thing which I don't like is heights – I get rather panicky and feel like I am going to fall, even though I know that wont happen and I am really quite safe!!

Come and meet the rest of the staff at our school.
