My name is Mrs Ditchburn Hughes and I am lucky enough to be the head teacher here at Rosewood Primary School. I grew up in North Wales and have taught in lots of different schools in London, Rochdale, Bradford and Lancashire.
My favourite thing to do is walking my dog, Charlie, a very scruffy cockapoo, with my family.
I have always loved being a teacher, and feel really lucky to work with some amazing children and staff. My passion is reading, I believe that reading opens the door to learning, and I want the children at Rosewood to be enthusiastic, motivated and fluent readers. My favourite books are the Harry Potter series. I am a bit of a HP geek. Go on, ask me a question - it's my specialist subject!
My least favourite things are people who are not kind and don't treat others the way they wish to be treated themselves.
I am so proud of our school, and enjoy coming to work every day, I particularly like it when the children come and show me all the wonderful work they have been doing in their lessons.
